Indianapolis - Madonna Lee Anderson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on July 21, 2024 in her hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on September 10, 1944, to the late Clifford Vernon Chasteen and Ruth Thelma (Walker) Chasteen.

Madonna was a strong-willed and loving individual who touched the lives of all those around her. Her warm and caring nature was evident in everything she did. She was known for her infectious laughter that would light up any room.

In her professional life, Madonna dedicated herself to serving others as a manager at Walgreens. She took pride in her work and always went above and beyond to help those in need.

Madonna had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought her joy throughout her life. She loved cooking delicious meals for her family, sewing beautiful creations, traveling to new places, fishing in the great outdoors, and enjoying a good snack. She was a dedicated fan of Notre Dame Football and enjoyed watching her favorite shows while reading through cookbooks for new recipes to try out.

One of Madonna's proudest accomplishments was marrying the love of her life, Robert Eugene Anderson, on September 10, 2000. Together they built a life filled with love and happiness.

Madonna is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Anderson; loving daughter, Madonna (Norm) Waal; step-daughter, Angela (Mitch) Pittman; step-son, Mark (Angie) Anderson; step-son ,Toby (Dena) Anderson; along with 23 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Troy J. Bruce.

Madonna will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, love, and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

May she rest in peace knowing that she was cherished and loved beyond measure.

A life well-lived, Madonna Lee Anderson will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with such a remarkable soul.
