Listen to Obituary

Mark Allan Bristow, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025. He was born on February 10, 1960, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late James Richard Bristow and Arlene June (Campbell) Jenkins.

Mark grew up with a strong work ethic and a creative spirit that carried him through life. He worked for many years at Navistar as a skilled tradesman, where he built a career he was proud of. He loved what he did, took pride in his work, and was always willing to lend a hand or share what he knew with others. After retiring, he carried that same dedication into his hobbies, always tinkering, fixing, or creating something new.

Mark was a man of many passions. He was a huge Colts and Pacers fan and loved to spend time fishing, enjoying the peace and quiet of the water. He liked to relax with a good cigar and good company, often paired with laughter and a story or two. He had a real gift for storytelling, whether it was something funny from his day or a memory from years gone by. He had a way of bringing people together through his words and humor.

He was exceptionally talented with his hands, a true craftsman at heart. Mark could turn a piece of wood into something beautiful—furniture, gifts, or art—whatever he dreamed up. He had the soul of an artist, and his creativity spilled over into painting and photography as well. He saw the world in color and light and loved to capture moments others might overlook.

Mark had an eye for the small things that made life meaningful, whether it was the grain in a piece of wood, the gears of a fine watch, or the quiet beauty in a simple moment. When it was time to unwind, he enjoyed watching his favorite shows like NCIS, JAG, and The Andy Griffith Show, programs that reflected his love of loyalty, integrity, and humor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Kay (Crail) Bristow, whom he married on April 19, 1995; his children, Katlin Bristow, Mark Andrew Bristow, Brandon (Ashley) Collins, and Ben (Agnes) Collins; his siblings, Donna Bristow, Cheryl Bristow, Robert Bristow, and Donald Bristow; and his grandchildren, Mila Ash, Casey Bristow, Chloe Collins, Malachi Collins, Amia Collins, Noah Collins, Harper Collins, Lindsey Collins, Alyssa Collins, Little Bill Collins, Bradley Collins, Logan Dressler, Aiden Briski, Maxwell Hunter, and Maverick Hunter.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; his brothers, Rick Bristow and Ken Bristow; and his son, Billy Collins.
