Peggy Pierce

Peggy Irene Pierce, 62, of Gainsboro, Tennessee, passed away on October 30, 2025, in Marion, Indiana. She was born on September 24, 1963, in Gainsboro to the late Thurman Raggio Bennett and Reba Ann Franklin (Daniels). She was also preceded in death by her sister, Stella Stoelting (Bennett); brother, Bruce Bennett; and her “soul sister,” Marla Helping.

Peggy moved to Indianapolis in 1976 and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1981. Later in life, she moved to Marion, Indiana, where she earned her Master of Science in Business from Indiana Wesleyan University — an accomplishment she was incredibly proud of.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Pierce; her daughter, Amanda Ratcliff (Robert); her stepson, Kyle Byrd (Amanda); and her stepdaughters, Ashley Pierce and Victoria Pierce. Peggy was blessed with thirteen grandchildren — Arian, Kaylei, Edward, Trinity, Lela, Savannah, Makayla, Lillyian, Daniel, Andrew, Harold, Jared, and Arabella — and two great-granddaughters, Paisley and Oaklynn, who were truly her world.

Anyone who knew Peggy knew she had the biggest heart. She would do anything for her family, her friends, or any animal that crossed her path. She loved deeply, gave freely, and brought warmth and laughter wherever she went.

Peggy will be forever missed and always loved. She is now reunited with those she missed the most — and no doubt, she’s already catching up, laughing, and watching over those she left behind.
