Peggy Jeanne Ross

Peggy Jeanne Ross, 59, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 28, 2025. She was born February 8, 1966, in Indianapolis. Peggy worked as a dog groomer for many years, a job that fit her perfectly. She had a natural ease with animals and understood them in a way most people don’t. She also spent time professionally breeding St. Bernards and Persian cats and took pride in caring for them the right way. Her own St. Bernard, PeeWee, held a special place in her life and was treated very much like an additional child.

Peggy enjoyed crafts of all kinds, including sewing, cross-stitching, and quilting. She liked keeping busy and working with her hands. She also enjoyed taking care of her plants and dressing up her dogs for fun. She had no problem speaking her mind, but those who knew her understood that honesty was simply part of who she was. And if General Hospital was on, everyone knew not to interrupt—she followed it faithfully for years.

She was a devoted grandmother who cared deeply.

Peggy is survived by her son, Todd (Megan); grandchildren Breauna, Devin, Breyden, Kyler, and Axyl; mother Roberta (Bowser) Urick; siblings Jerry and Charles Urick; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in passing by her father Charles Urick; the father of her son, Monte; and her beloved St. Bernard, PeeWee.
