Ravona Lavoy "Vonie" Johnson, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 8, 2025, at the University Heights Health & Living Community in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on June 14, 1950, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, and spent her life spreading joy and warmth to those around her.

A proud graduate of Belvidere High School, Class of 1968, Ravona continued her education at the University of Indianapolis, earning an Associate's Degree. Her professional career flourished as a Commercial Loan Advisor at National City Bank, where she was known for her dedication and approachability.

Ravona embraced every moment of family celebrations, always making birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays special occasions filled with cherished memories. With great passion, she shared family history and photos, ensuring that the love and legacy of her family were always alive in their hearts. Her laughter, love, and wise advice were a guiding light to many, exemplifying her vibrant personality.

On December 13, 1969, Ravona married her beloved husband, Arthur Alan "Al" Johnson, at Hope Reformed Church in Rockford, Illinois. Together, they enjoyed a beautiful journey that spanned over 55 years, filled with love, support, and shared interests. A dedicated member of Christian Park Reformed Church for 40 years, Ravona's faith was central to her life and community.

In addition to her deep love for her family, Ravona was a lifelong lover of books and an avid supporter of local libraries. She cherished her time spent in book clubs with her grandchildren, fostering their love for reading. Furthermore, her interests extended to auctions, antiques, and collecting unique nick-nacks and other collectibles, which filled her home with stories and memories of a life well-lived.

Ravona is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Alan "Al" Johnson; her daughter, Darcey Johnstone; her sons, Bryce Johnson and his wife, Cheyenne, and Bradley Johnson and his wife, Sara; her sister, Cindy Winn; her brother, Cary Winn and his wife, Betsy; her sisters-in-law, Kay Winn and Mary Johnson and her wife, Sheri; her grandchildren, Derek Johnstone, Kaylee Mink, Kyndal Ipock, Meghan Johnson, Brock Johnson, Josie Hatfield, and Emma Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Camden Christian and Emery Christian; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ravona was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Ramona Winn; her sister, Nancy Wolske; her brother, Stan Winn; her father & mother in-law, Henry and Helen Johnson; her brothers-in-law, Paul Wolske, James Johnson, and Rodney Stokes; and her sisters-in-law, Carmen Johnson and Judith Stokes.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her spirit and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
