Ricky Lynn Bray Sr.

.Ricky Lynn Bray, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, went home to be with Jesus on April 29, 2025, in Whiteland, Indiana surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Born on December 8, 1960, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Ricky lived a life characterized by his devotion to family, a sense of humor, and a range of interests that captured the essence of a simple yet fulfilling life.

Ricky attended New Palestine High School and furthered his education by earning a degree in Communications from Big Bend Community College. His commitment to serve his country was evident during his five years of service in the United States Army.

Following his honorable discharge, he worked as a concrete finisher for several years before retiring. Ricky was known for his quick whit and sense of humor, lots of pranks and he found joy in the love and laughter he shared with his family. His love for his children and grandchildren was boundless, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

In his leisure time, Ricky enjoyed watching NASCAR, westerns, and The Andy Griffith Show. He found joy in fishing. He also loved watching the horse races while enjoying a few cold brews.

Ricky is survived by his loving children, Nicole (Kevin) Steele and Ricky (Kristi) Bray Jr. Bradley Taylor and his cherished grandchildren, Wesley Steele, Gage Steele, Landen Steele, Emma Bray, Kendall Bray, Kaleigh Admire, and Khloe Callahan. He is also survived by his siblings, John K. Bullington, Penney C. Bray, and Terry (Bruiser) Marra. Additionally, he leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who will remember him fondly and cherished memories.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Rose Bullington and Carl Gene Bray, his grandparents JC Bullington and Lyla Bullington, and his siblings, Crystal Jean Bray, Candie Melissa Bray

Visitation for Ricky Lynn Bray will be held on May 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227. The funeral service will take place the following day, May 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM, concluding at 12:00 PM at the same venue.

Rick will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his spirit and the memories of his laughter will forever echo in their hearts. “ Hello walls”
