Riley King Chaney

August 13, 1941 — November 30, 2023

On November 30th, surrounded by his wife and children, Riley King Chaney went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as he succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was born on August 13, 1941 to the late Lewis Henry and Olive Elizabeth (King) Chaney in Wichita, Kansas. Riley was united in marriage on April 23, 1983 to Linda Lee Summers. He and his wife Linda resided in North Salem, IN where they developed a close group of friends. They attended Rock Point Church in Crawfordsville, IN. Riley filled his days being outside as often as he could and would often be found tending to his gardens, splitting wood with family, or sitting around a campfire delighting in his Creator’s creation. He also enjoyed camping with his adult children and their families, watching his grandkids play sports, or just hanging out with his group of friends at the corner station in North Salem. He will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him.

Riley is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lee Chaney; children: Nicole Elizabeth Chaney and her significant other Kristopher von Broda, Joanne Chaney and her significant other Bo Davidson, Julayne Wirts and her husband Andy, Jill Edwards and her husband Brian, Rori Chaney and his wife Heather and Ryan Chaney; as well as, 9 grandchildren.
