Robert Nelson Bradley Jr., known affectionately as Rob, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on October 2, 1961, in Frankfort, Indiana, and grew up to become a man admired and cherished by all who knew him. Rob graduated from Eastern Hancock High School, class of 1980, and later served in the United States Army, embodying a spirit of dedication and service.
Throughout his life, Rob pursued a successful career as an entrepreneur, owning the Bow Tie car lot and working with GTE Sylvania and Acoustic Supply Company. His commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to family and friends, making significant contributions to the lives of those around him. Known for his charming personality, Rob was a sociable individual with a hard-working ethos, always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a loving father and grandfather, whose pride and joy were his family.
Rob’s interests included fishing, playing cards, motorcycles, cars, hunting, and following Nascar, activities that brought him great happiness and shared moments with loved ones. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, easy-going demeanor, and the loving spirit he brought to every encounter.
He is survived by his son, Charles (Haleigh) Bradley Sr.; his daughters, Samantha Bradley and Tara (Levi) Nicholas; and his beloved grandchildren, Charles Bradley Jr., Charlotte Bradley, Caleigh Bradley, Cooper Bradley, Giovannii Bradley, Cohen Ritchie, and Berkley Busby. Rob also leaves behind his father, Robert Nelson (Carol) Bradley Sr.; his siblings, Tammy (Richard) Carby, Timothy A. Bradley, and Monte (Allison) Bradley; along with several nieces and nephews who adored their uncle.
Rob was preceded in death by his mother, Jaqueline (Woods) Bradley, and his sister, Charlotte Albaugh, his best friend Mark Steffey. He will be deeply missed, cherished in the hearts of his family and friends, whose lives he touched with his unwavering love and kindness.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on May 8, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 pm, both at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227.
