Listen to Obituary

Sandra Faye Baugh (Bunch), 77, was born on May 20, 1948, in Coxton, Kentucky. She spent most of her life in Indianapolis before living her later years in North Vernon, Indiana at the lake house she loved.

Sandra married the love of her life, Ron Baugh, on November 21, 1976. They built a life together of nearly 50 years grounded in commitment, shared routines, and being there for one another through everything. She was a proud strong mother to 5 children that she referred to as her greatest accomplishment.

She worked for many years as a deli manager at Marsh Supermarkets where she was known for her strong work ethic and the pride she took in doing her job well. She earned the respect of those she worked with before retiring.

It was the simple things that made Sandra happy. She loved playing scratch-off lottery tickets and thrifting. She enjoyed the excitement of a win just as much as keeping her eye out for a great bargin.

Family was her greatest joy and the center of her life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who meant everything to her.

Of all her roles loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, Memaw was the role she loved and cherished the most. Her warm caring heart allowed her to love her husband her children her grandchildren and her great grandchildren perfectly and with undeniable certainty. Sandy will be missed immensely by her family and friends.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Ron Baugh; her children Michael Curtis (Christina), Angie Curtis (Susan), Jamie Curtis (Rhonda), Amanda Baugh, and step-son Ron Baugh; her grandchildren Jessica, Chandler, Shannon, Jamie, Aidan, Isaiah, and Kylie; and her great-grandchildren Jayden, Brianna, Annalaya, Bennie, Cooper, Chloe, Camryn, and Alex. She is also survived by her brothers Terry Bunch (Sabrina) and Tim Bunch (Jud), along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, James “Jack” Bunch and Hazel Bunch; her daughter Michelle Curtis; her brothers Gary Bunch and Roger Bunch; and her sister Jaquelin Bunch.

Rest in peace our sweet Angel.
