Scott R. Shea, 57, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away at his home on June 30, 2026. He was born on June 13, 1969 in Sumpter, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father, William P. Shea (June 2, 2015) and his mother, Benita R. Shea (December 13, 2025).
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 25 years, Anne, two amazing children, Emma Grayce and William Francis; his Aunt Sandy (Jim) Haley; and his cousins, George (Karen), Robert (Elizabeth), and Michael (Regina) Brisben. He was the only child of Bill and Benita, but is also survived by a large number of brother and sister-in-laws, as well as nieces and nephews, too many to count.
Scott loved dogs, as our first dog, Oreo, was our wedding gift to each other, followed by Graham. They passed at 17 years old each. The family currently has two well-loved Catahoulas, Scott named Pebbles and BamBam.
Scott graduated from Carroll High School, Dayton, Ohio in 1988. Carroll is where he met Anne as a freshman in 1984 and members of the Marching Patriots. They formed a very deep and forever friendship and began dating in 1990. In 1991 he moved to Indianapolis, enrolled in ITT Technical Institute and graduated with honors and two Bachelors Degrees. His education led him to a long and fulfilling carreer in IT Engineering and Security.
Scott was a swimmer through high school and later enjoyed playing pool, throwing darts, and most of all, spending time with friends and family. He loved being with Emma and Will, playing video games, building Legos, watching Disney movies, and teaching them technology stuff.
His heart was full of love and he was loved by many. He will be dearly missed and held close in our hearts.
