Sharon Kay Collins, 59, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025. Born August 4, 1966, in Kentucky. Sharon lived a life centered on family, kindness, and the simple joys that mattered most to her.
She graduated from Hamilton Heights High School in 1984 and went on to build a life filled with love and meaningful connections. On August 13, 2016, she married Alvin Collins, and together they shared a strong and caring partnership, creating memories through everyday moments and shared adventures.
Family was the heart of Sharon’s world. She was a devoted mother to Travis, Brandy, Devin, and Shilo, and nothing brought her more happiness than being “Grandma” to her granddaughter Hylynn, who was truly the light of her life.
Sharon’s gentle nature and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her, and her presence brought comfort and warmth to those around her. She found joy in life’s quieter pleasures; spending time with loved ones, caring for her cats, collecting angels, and traveling whenever she could. These simple things reflected her thoughtful spirit and her appreciation for moments that mattered.
She is survived by her husband Alvin Collins; children Travis Dennison, Brandy Dennison, Devin Brashers, and Shilo Brashers; siblings Mary Jordan and Charles Jordan III; and her cherished granddaughter Hylynn.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Albert II and Anna Jean Armstrong.
Visitation will be held on December 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Sharon’s life.
