Shelby Romano

Shelby Romano, 50, of Indianapolis passed away on September 8, 2025 at Eskenazi Hospital. Shelby was born on May 12, 1975, in Indianapolis, Indiana to John M. Romano and Cindy (Green) Romano, both of Indianapolis. She graduated from Warren Central High School in 1993. She was a proud graduate of Kaplan University in 2015.

Shelby is survived by her children, Daniel Holt and Josephine Holt, both of Indianapolis. She is also survived by her father, John Romano of Indianapolis; her brother Chris Romano (Karie) of Indianapolis; nieces Ashley Virden (Tyeler), Kaitlyn Romano, Kennedy Romano, and nephew Nick Romano, all of Indianapolis.

Shelby was preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia (Cindy) Romano, of Indianapolis in 2015.

Shelby loved her children more than anything, they were her pride and joy. She will be remembered as a very hardworking woman. She also loved soccer and played for Warren Central and continued the sport recreationally after her graduation. Shelby was a big fan of music and loved Def Leppard. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 P.M. on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 925 Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46237. Visitation will be on Friday starting at 5 until the time of the service.
