Stephanie Joy Reed

Stephanie Joy Reed, 46, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away on August 19, 2026. She was born on December 15, 1979, in Hammond, Indiana, to Jeffrey Owens and Deborah May Ingram Owens.

After graduating, Stephanie began her career as a nurse, a profession she worked in for many years and one she was truly proud of. Caring for others was an important part of her life.

Stephanie loved being a grandma and cherished every opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren, Jackson and Oliver. They were her reason for fighting harder and gave her so much love and motivation. She also loved music, Disney, and classic musical movies. She was a devoted Willie Nelson fan and enjoyed the joy that music brought into her life.

Stephanie will be remembered for the love she had for her family, the time she shared with those closest to her, and the memories she created throughout her life.

She is survived by her son, Kadin; her grandchildren, Jackson and Oliver; her best friend, Denise, and Denise’s husband, Ken; along with extended family members and friends who were blessed to know her.

Stephanie was preceded in death by both of her parents, Jeffrey Owens and Deborah May Ingram Owens, and her oldest son, Devon.

Her memory will live on through the family and friends who loved her and the many lives she touched throughout her years.
