Steven Ray Stacy

Steven Ray Stacy, better known to family and friends as Sam, 38, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Sam was born on June 18, 1987, in Grundy, Virainia, to Linda Carol Stacy and Stephen Bandy. He was an active and energetic child and teenager, with interests ranging from wrestling and football to small engine repair. Sam had big dreams and a strong drive. At the age of 18, he moved to Indianapolis, where he made his home and became a proud father to his three children: Andrew Stacy, Brae'Lynn Rae Stacy, and Chase Tewell.

Sam leaves behind his three children, Andrew Stacy, Chase Tewell, and Brae'Lynn Rae Stacy; his mother Marilyn Stacy; his biological mother, Linda Carol Stacy his sisters, Ashley Stacy and Stephanie Bandy; and his brothers, Cody Bandy, Lucas Bandy, and Josh Church. He is also survived by his aunts, Vicki Norris and Lana Gail Stiltner; his uncles, Bryan Stacy and Anthony Stacy; Amber Tewell, the mother of his children; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sam was preceded in death by his grandfather, Junior Stacy; his aunt, Jeannie Stacy; his uncle, Chris Stacy; his hiece, Cheyenne Lamb; and his father, Stephen Bandy.

In celebration of Sam's life, friends may gather from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, April 8th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions located at 925 East Hanna Avenue Indianapolis 46227.

Sam will be remembered for his energy, his love for his family, and the impact he had on those around him.
