Susan Nightingale

Susan "Sue" Nightingale (Lotter), 73, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026.

Sue was born on March 12, 1953, to Richard and Betty Lotter, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Liz Nightingale and Angela (Dalton) Groh; her grandsons, Sam Tinsley, Jack Groh, Lucas Groh, and one on the way; and her sister, Cathy (Dave Reissig) Garvin.

Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She was also a dedicated team member at Stoops Freightliner, where she worked for nearly 30 years. She enjoyed caring for her plants and flowers, feeding hummingbirds, and caring for her dog. She valued time with her family and will be remembered for her kindness, steady support, and caring nature.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 925 E. Hanna Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227. Family and friends are invited to gather to remember Sue and honor her memory.
