Terry Lynn Scruggs, a true lover of life and legend of good times, was born on February 23, 1977, in the bustling city of Indianapolis. Our fearless adventurer crossed over to the great amusement park in the sky on December 27, 2025, but not before squeezing every last drop of joy from his time here.

Terry was the kind of guy who left a trail of laughter wherever he went, with his stubbornness and hard-headed determination leading the parade! A devoted husband to his beloved Chasity Scruggs, Terry’s proudest moment was convincing her to join him for a lifetime of adventures — a triumph he celebrated like winning a roller coaster ride at their favorite amusement park. Together, they built a beautiful family, welcoming the giggles and joys that came with their children Dolton Parrish and Ava Latham. Terry was more than just a dad; he was a partner-in-crime who played hard and cherished every moment with his kids.

You might have found him lounging around a bonfire, surrounded by friends and family, all while flipping through his collection of figurine toys — a charming quirk that defined his playful spirit. Oh, how he loved a good joy ride, particularly with his trusty Bluetooth speaker blaring the greatest hits, ensuring they were always on the cue of a new adventure. Whether it was camping under the stars or exploring new music, he seized every opportunity to create unforgettable memories with those he loved.

Terry was a music buff like no other, always ready to share his favorite tunes with a huge smile on his face. He had an innate ability to turn any gathering into a dance party and made sure no one ever left without feeling the rhythm of good vibes.

His siblings Kathy Harlow, Homer Scruggs, Sam Rybolt, and best friend David Shaw will carry on the legacy of fun and adventure he ignited in their lives. Those who knew Terry can’t help but smile when recalling his stubborn streak; he truly was a man who went after what he wanted, whether that meant conquering a new hiking trail or embarking on spontaneous outings with his extended family and numerous nieces and nephews.

While we cherish our memories of Terry, we also remember the loved ones who welcomed him with open arms in the great beyond, including his mom Katherine Scruggs, dad Homer Scruggs, sisters Flora Spivey and Joanie Petigrew, brother Toby Scruggs, and his beloved bonus parents Glenda and Doug Spiegel, as well as nephew Daniel Morris Jr.

Terry Lynn Scruggs lived life loud and proud, and though he's traded the earthly fun for eternal adventures, his spirit will forever remain intertwined with the hearts of all who called him family and friend.
