Theora McGlone

Theora McGlone, fondly known as "Missy," passed away on September 20, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on March 22, 1961, Theora dedicated a remarkable 45 years of her life to Mechanics Laundry, where her strong work ethic and good sense of humor made her a cherished presence.

Theora was a vibrant soul known for her outspoken nature and her deep affection for her fur babies, adding warmth to every room she entered. Her passions were as colorful as her personality; she had a love for unicorns and was an avid fan of the music icons Elvis and Willie Nelson. She also found joy in her favorite television show, Law and Order SVU, and delighted in watching wrestling. Theora’s creative spirit shone through in her hobbies, which included crafts and coloring. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, whom she adored immensely.

She is survived by her loving children, Maranda (Joseph II) Pattison and Arthur (Linda) McGlone, her grandchildren Sharlotte andMelinda Doty, Eric Fesler, Michelle Russ, and David and James Brooks, and her great-grandchildren Apollo, Alice, Jackson, and Cory. Theora’s proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride throughout her life.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Theodore and Annamarie Scaggs; her husband Arthur McGlone, her daughter Alice "Mo" Doty, her brother Billy Scaggs, and her beloved fur companion Puggles.

Theora will be remembered not only for her dedication to her career and her family but also for her infectious laughter and the love she so freely shared.

In this time of sorrow, she leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
