Theresa Ann Austin, born on November 2, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, in Greenwood, Indiana, following a brief illness. Her final days were tenderly supported by beloved friends and family, reflecting the deep bonds she nurtured throughout her life.
Theresa cherished the many years she spent at her home on Sweetwater Lake, a place that held a special place in her heart. It was there that she found joy and tranquility, surrounded by the natural beauty and the comforting presence of loved ones. Her enjoyment of life extended to playing cards and visiting the casino, where her keen spirit and warm companionship were well remembered. Additionally, Theresa had a passion for crocheting, a craft through which she expressed her creativity and brought warmth to those around her.
Born to the late Clarence Feigen and Elmina Faulkinbury Feigen, Theresa was part of a family that shaped her strong character and loving nature. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jan Chafin, whose memory she held dear.
She is survived by her brother, John Feigen, as well as several cousins who remain close in spirit and affection. Theresa's circle of friends, who were treasured as family, stood by her side with unwavering support and love.
The Mass will be at 11am on Friday the 29th at Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church located at 335 South Meridian Street in Greenwood. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may gather for visitation for one half hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa's name may be made to Our Lady of Greenwood.
Theresa Ann Austin’s life was marked by grace, kindness, and a zest for the moments that made every day meaningful. Her legacy lives on through the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a beacon of warmth and friendship.
