Victoria Y. Baker, 60, passed away peacefully on 5/23/2025 surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Vicky lived a life filled with warmth, joy, and unconditional love.
Born on Oct 7, 1964, Vicky spent her days embracing the simple pleasures in life. She had a deep love for summer—the season that mirrored her bright and generous spirit. Whether walking barefoot through the grass, tending to her garden, or laughing with loved ones under the sun, she found beauty in every moment.
She shared 41 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Ricky Baker, creating a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they raised three children who carry forward her strength, kindness, and deep sense of family. Her eight grandchildren were the lights of her life, and her happiest times were spent in their company—cuddling, storytelling, and making cherished memories.
Vicky will be remembered for her warm heart, her quiet wisdom, and the way she made everyone feel at home. Her love was a constant presence, as comforting and natural as the sun on a summer day.
She is survived by her husband Ricky Baker, her children Leon (Chastie) Baker, Lindsey (Larry) Rosales, Ricky (Isabella) Baker, her grandchildren Leon, Madolyn, Jazlynn, Sophia, Evelyn, Reagan, Amelia, Jovie, and family and friends who loved her dearly.
A celebration of her life will be held to be determined at Beech Grove Senior Center.
Her spirit lives on in every summer breeze, every burst of laughter, and in the hearts of those who knew her best.
