Walter "Bud" Tinsley, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, at his home in Camby, Indiana. Born on February 15, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio, Walter lived a life marked by deep devotion to his family and a remarkable array of talents.

Walter was a graduate of Indiana State University. He lived a life rich in both personal and artistic achievement. A man of many gifts, he was an exceptionally talented musician, who loved playing bass guitar, and was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. In addition to his musical and artistic skills, Walter was an award-winning horseshoe pitcher, a testament to his competitive spirit and dedication to his interests.

Above all his accomplishments, Walter cherished time spent with his family. He shared a deep bond with his wife, Sharon Tinsley, his daughters, Heidi (Karl) Miller and Samantha Tinsley, and his beloved grandchildren Livia Miller, Zachary Miller, and Sylvia Miller. Their presence brought immeasurable joy to his life, and his legacy will live on through them.

Walter also leaves behind a supportive network of siblings who shared in his journey—Walter Archie (Deb) Tinsley, Monna Albright, Evelyn Tinsley, Christina Robertson, Mary Lee (Larry) Smith, Walter Harry (Renee) Tinsley, and Walter Rannix (Tracy) Tinsley. Surrounded by several nieces, nephews, and extended family, Walter's spirit was woven into the fabric of a large and loving family circle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Arch Tinsley and Donna Lee Tinsley, whose memories remained close throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life for Walter will be held on Friday, June 19 from 4 pm to 8 pm at The Links at Heartland Crossing located at 6701 East Heartland Blvd, Camby, Indiana. 

Walter "Bud" Tinsley’s life was a rich composition of music, humor, devotion, and family. His legacy of love, laughter, and talent endures deeply in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered with respect and affection by all whose lives he touched.
