William Patrick Armstrong

William “Booter” Patrick Armstrong, 57, of Ligonier, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, at Morning Light Home.

Born on September 13, 1968, in LaGrange, Indiana, Booter lived a life defined by hard work, humility, and quiet kindness. A proud member of the West Noble Class of 1987, he spent decades working as a telecommunications lineman, dedicating himself to a career that reflected his unwavering work ethic and deep sense of responsibility. He believed in the value of honest work and found great purpose in serving others through his profession.

Those who knew Booter will remember him as a gentle, thoughtful, and genuinely selfless man. He was unfailingly polite and had a remarkable way of putting the needs and feelings of others before his own. Whether offering a helping hand, performing acts of service, or simply sharing his quiet presence, he made those around him feel valued and cared for.

Music was one of his greatest joys and a constant source of comfort throughout his life. It brought him peace during difficult times and happiness during the good ones. He also took pride in staying busy, believing that having a purpose each day was one of life’s greatest gifts.

He is survived by his children, Zakrey Armstrong, Emily Armstrong, Nolan Armstrong, Matty Armstrong, and Addison Armstrong; his grandchild, Kaisyn Armstrong; his sister, Kelly (Jay) Jackson; his niece, Grace Jackson; his nephews, Nicholas (Melissa) Armstrong, Bryce Armstrong, and Will Jackson; his great-nieces, Saylor and Sophia Armstrong; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma (Moser) Bryant; his father, Bill Armstrong; his brother, William Bryce Armstrong; and his sister, Elizabeth Ann Armstrong.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Morning Light Home for the exceptional care, dignity, and kindness they provided during Booter’s final days. They were deeply moved by the love and compassion that transformed the last weeks of his life. The family also wishes to thank the many devoted friends and extended family members who offered their support, companionship, and thoughtful gifts during his final months. Booter was deeply touched by your love and generosity, and his family believes your kindness helped ensure that his final chapter was filled with comfort, peace, and even moments of happiness.

Though he was humble and never sought recognition, Booter’s legacy lives on through the countless acts of kindness he showed, the strong work ethic he modeled, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In keeping with Booter’s wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, his family encourages everyone to celebrate his life in whatever way feels meaningful—listen to a favorite song, lend a helping hand, spend time with those you love, or simply carry forward the kindness that Booter showed so freely. There could be no greater tribute to his memory.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Morning Light Home in support of its mission to provide comfort, dignity, and compassionate end-of-life care to others.
