William Dwight Ferguson, 77, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
He was born on July 30, 1948, in Arlington, Kentucky, to William and Helen (Quillen) Ferguson.
Dwight was a man of taste who loved the finer things in life-cars, billiards, architecture, and expensive shoes-but he was just as delighted by a good bargain. He was an expert astrologer. A true jack of all trades, Dwight wasn’t afraid to try his hand at anything, and his gift for persuasion was unmatched; he could sell sand in the desert. With his charisma and contagious laugh, he easily drew people to him and left a lasting impression wherever he went.
Dwight deeply loved his family; he cherished the time they spent together.
Dwight is survived by his daughter, Persia Ferguson; his son, William Michael Ferguson and wife Julie; his grandsons, Keegan Ferguson and wife Heidi, and Evan Ferguson and partner Jame.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, William Harold Ferguson and Helen Ruth Ferguson.
He will be missed, and in the words of Dwight himself, “You better know it.”
