Willie J. Hunt-Booze

Willie James Hunt-Booze, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 26,2026. He was born on July 1, 1948 in Sledge, Mississippi. 

He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He was a disabled veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart, reflecting his courage and sacrifice in service to his country. 

Willie was known for his sharp style and love of dressing in suits. He also enjoyed cheering for his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers. More than anything, he loved his family and friends , and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory his children along with many other family members and friends.

A funeral service honoring Willie's life will be held Saturday, March 7 at 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions. Military Honors will be provided by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Military Honor Guard. Friends may gather for visitation from 11 am until the time of the service.
